Pazo Rosqueira takes its name from two elements deeply rooted in Galician tradition. "Pazo" refers to a typical Galician manor house, usually surrounded by gardens and farmland, representing the region’s heritage and history. "Rosqueira", on the other hand, refers to the oak shrubs that grow in the area, symbolizing the nature surrounding the Albariño vineyards of Rías Baixas. This name was chosen to reflect the connection to the land, the landscape, and the authenticity of the region, delivering in each bottle the freshness and elegance characteristic of wines from this coastal area.

Terroir
The vineyards have an average age of 20 years and are located in Arbo, at the heart of Condado del Tea. The vines are trained in espalier, following the traditional style of the region. The parcels used include Pazo Longa, Torre, Alto, and Rañado, which are certified under Integrated Production, along with Finca Pradera. These are high-altitude vineyards, well-ventilated, and facing north and southeast.
Winemaking process
Once harvested, the grapes go through manual selection and then destemming. They are cooled down through a refrigeration circuit, reaching 5 ºC, the optimal temperature for an eight-hour maceration process. After maceration, the grapes are pressed, and the extracted must is transferred to stainless steel tanks, where it ferments at a controlled temperature of 18 ºC. Fermentation is carried out using native yeasts, followed by four months of aging on fine lees, during which the wine undergoes two rackings before being clarified and bottled.
Appearance
Bright and clean greenish-yellow, with good intensity.
Aroma
Extraordinarily fragrant, refreshing, and complex, with minty notes that blend with white fruit and citrus aromas. Subtle floral hints and minerality add great complexity.
Taste
This Albariño is fresh, light, and vibrant, with well-balanced acidity. It stands out for its white fruit notes, such as apple and pear, and a slight saline minerality that enhances freshness. The finish is clean, refreshing, and pleasantly persistent.

Pairs perfectly with fresh seafood, such as oysters, clams, and steamed mussels, highlighting its mineral and saline characteristics. It also pairs well with light salads of blue fish, citrus fruits, and herb vinaigrettes, where the wine’s freshness and floral notes enhance the flavors. A seasonal vegetable and white truffle risotto intensifies the wine’s citrus and floral notes, while fresh goat cheese with honey and nuts creates a delicate and sophisticated pairing. Finally, a lemon mousse with red berries is the perfect dessert pairing to conclude this fresh and balanced experience.
